Our Local Academy Board Members
Our Local Academy Board (local governing body) was established 2019/20
Miss Morgan Quirke - Chair & Early Years Champion
I am a Parent Governor and currently Chair on the Brambles Primary Academy Local Academy Board. My child has Brambles Primary Academy since its opening in September 2018. After leaving school I have volunteered and worked in various parts of the child and youth sector. I then became a young ambassador for the Princes Trust, focusing on the anti bullying programme. I also trained as a teaching assistant working in various areas of Kirklees. I am currently working as a teaching assistant within Kirklees, whilst helping to care for my dad who is disabled. I am passionate about learning through play and making learning an enjoyable and engaging experience. All these factors contributed to me putting myself forward for parent governor.
Mr Russ White - Vice Chair & Pupil Premium Champion
After gaining a BSc in Maths from York University I worked for Asda at their Head Office in Leeds where I gained my ACCA accountancy qualification. After 32 years at Asda working in various management/analytical roles within the Finance, Merchandising, IT, Marketing and Property functions I have now retired. I am married with three grown up children and enjoy playing football and golf, walking and spending time with my family and friends. I am delighted to be a Governor at Brambles Primary Academy and to be part of a great team that is committed to providing the children with an outstanding educational experience.

Mrs Amy Eagleton - Governor and Safeguarding Champion
I studied Criminology at University and went on to work in a secondary school as part of the behaviour team. Eight years later and I am still at that same school but now in the Safeguarding Team. It's my job to make sure all our students are happy, healthy and safe. I wanted to be a Governor of Brambles at this exciting time to learn more about the profession I am in but for a different age group than I am used to and to also give back to South Pennine Academies Trust who have supported me throughout my career. I'm committed to being a part of the ‘Brambles family’ and am looking forward to watching us grow!

Jill Webster - Governor
I was educated at Moor End High School and Huddersfield New College before studying Dentistry at Leeds University. After graduating in 1986 I practiced in and around Huddersfield culminating in owning my own Dental Practice in Linthwaite for 16 years before retiring in 2018. I am married with 3 grown up children, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, taking long walks with my dog in our beautiful Yorkshire Countryside and I have a great love of music and theatre having played in local Brass Bands in my youth. I am looking forward to being part of the Brambles Community and watching this exciting new school develop.

Ruhee Javaid - Parent Governor
I did my BA Hons at Manchester Metropolitan University. I then worked towards a Teaching English as a Foreign Language qualification and got my Teacher of English Diploma. I also have experience of several years of teaching in schools as well as tutoring from home. My eldest has been at Brambles Primary Academy since it opened in September 2018, and I’m delighted to now be a Parent Governor on the Local Academy Board. From day one I loved the staff, the Academy, and the way in which parents and the school became a close community like a family and how it made me feel involved. I am looking forward to watching us grow together.
