This half term we will be learning...
English
This half term we will be looking at the text 'A river'. We will then create our own version imagining where a river would take us in a dream. We will then look at non-chronological report for our non-fiction unit.
Maths
Our Maths curriculum follows the White Rose Maths scheme, which is designed to help children develop a deep understanding of key mathematical concepts.
We have a busy half term looking at fractions, position and direction, time, money and place value to 100.
Science
In our science learning this half term, we will be looking at animals including humans.
We will start by looking at what the vocabulary of domestic and wild means before moving onto the animal groupings and what an animal eats.
Geography
Our Geography topic this half term is 'Brambles at the beach' where we will look at the human and physical features of a beach and look at a study of St Annes and compare it to Huddersfield.
Art and DT
In Art and DT children will look at healthy eating in food technology.
RE
For our RE studies we follow the Kirklees Agreed Syllabus.
This half term our key question will be
'What do religions/worldviews say about our wonderful world?'
PSHE
In PSHE, we will be using My Happy Mind.

Music
As musicians, we follow the Charanga music scheme.
This half term our unit is a review of everything we have learnt over the last year.
We will also listen to our whole school 'Focused Artist' each week. Here we will experience a broad genre of music whilst deciding if we like or dislike what we have been listening to.
