Important Information
The gates will open from 8:30am. The class register will be taken at 8:45am and learning will begin immediately after this. It is vital that pupils are on time to school so that they do not miss any important learning.
Pupils should bring to school each day:
- A water bottle with their name on
- Suitable clothing for the weather to ensure they are comfortable during outdoor break times
- A packed lunch (if required)
Pupils are to be collected from school at 3:15pm
P.E.
- 5 Chestnut and 5 Sycamore have P.E. every Wednesday and Friday
- Children should come to School in their P.E kits. Jewellery and watches must be removed for P.E.

Homework is given out every Friday and is due back the following week. Homework is optional to complete

A day for all children to come to school in odd socks to stand up against bullying and discrimination.

Children in Need
Children can wear Pudsey ears, a yellow or spotty item and make a small donation for children in need. Children must wear uniform with a yellow accessory. This is not a full non-uniform day.

Christmas Decoration Day
An off-timetable day where children create Christmas tree decorations to hang on the school Christmas tree.

Children are invited to wear a Christmas Jumper to school.

Christmas Dinner
Our school Christmas dinner! Any child who has a packed lunch and wants to have a Christmas dinner on this day, please choose the meal on Arbor or let the office know before 1st December.
Monday 15th December
KS2 Carol Concert
Join our Year 3, 4 & 5 children in the playground from 2.30pm where they will sing Christmas Carols under the canopy.

Class Christmas Parties
All children can wear non-uniform for the last day of term! Children will also be having a class party.

School finishes at 3:15pm and reopens on Monday 5th January.
This half term we will be learning...

This half term we will be writing a set of instructions based on the book 'How to Train your Dragon'.

Then we will be writing a newspaper report on 'The Creature'

In Maths our focus will be around multiplication, division and fractions.
Science
In Science this half term out topic will be 'Living Things and their Habitats'

History and Geography.
In History and Geography we are learning about 'The Vikings' and the city of York

Art
In Art we are looking at using key skills to create installations.
PSHE
In PSHE we will be continuing with my happy mind looking at celebrating our character strengths. 
RE
In R.E we are answering the question: How and why are Jewish festivals celebrated today?
Reading Focus
In Autumn 2 our guided reading text will be
